Hello!
The first thing people usually ask me is “Where are you from?”. So let’s start there. I am from Bangkok, Thailand, although I am of East Indian descent. I’ve lived, studied, worked in the Americas, the Middle East and Asia. These days, I split my time between Chiang Mai, Thailand and Luang Prabang, Laos.
I am a writer, journalist and editor. My writing highlights people, culture, communities and the environment, and have been featured in major international travel and news media, including National Geographic, Travel + Leisure and Conde Nast Traveller.
I also work as a consultant with artisan groups, primarily on communications, marketing and writing projects. Currently, I’m busy with Radio Ock Pop Tok, a podcast I produce and co-host in collaboration with Ock Pop Tok, an artisan textile company based in Luang Prabang.
